ULTIMA, the highest quality lens filter, has been developed for professional photographers seeking image quality. The premium-quality optical glass from CORNING, combined with the latest digital vapor coating technology, ensures optical properties and maximum transmittance that make full use of the digital cameras' light reception sensor wavelength range. This filter utilizes the same grade of optical glass used in camera lenses and other optical applications, providing a much better optical performance than the tempered glass typically found in lens guards.

The digital camera's sensor wavelength range (360-750nm) is fully supported, with 100% transparency. Additionally, the filter effectively blocks UV rays below 360 nm, which can adversely affect image quality. The latest thin frame design reduces the risk of vignetting, thanks to precision processing, and the hard anodized aluminum frame ensures improved durability. The knurled design facilitates easy on and off.

The multi-coating of the filter thoroughly pursues high transmittance, but this can sometimes make the dirt that adheres to the surface difficult to remove. In such cases, it is recommended to use a wet cleaning method with a 0.5 fl oz (15 ml) HAKUBA Lens Cleaner.
